Project Summary

Vention (formerly iTechArt Group) designed and developed a React Native mobile application for a financial wellness fintech (Remotiv). The vendor delivered Figma prototypes, UX, backend (C# API), a React-based admin portal, QA, PM/analysis and devops support, deployed via CI/CD on AWS integrated with the client's SQL Server infrastructure. The client praised the design work, accurate sprint estimates and ongoing partnership; the app is in beta and work toward a 2.0 release continues.

Key Challenges

  • Design and develop a new mobile application for iOS and Android
  • Evolve the engagement into an ongoing full-stack relationship supporting the company's suite of services
  • Provide cross-functional resources including design, PM/analyst, mobile development, UX, backend and QA
  • Manage communication and time-zone differences due to the offshore nature of the relationship

Project Deliverables

  • Mobile application for iOS and Android (React Native)
  • API layer in C#
  • Backend administrative portal in React
  • Detailed specification document
  • Design prototype in Figma
  • CI/CD deployment on AWS integrated with existing SQL Server infrastructure

Project Solution

The vendor delivered end-to-end design and development of a React Native mobile app for iOS and Android, produced Figma prototypes and detailed specifications, implemented an API layer in C#, and built a React-based backend admin portal. They supplied cross-functional resources (PM/analyst, designer, QA, full-stack, back-end and mobile developers) and deployed the solution using CI/CD on AWS, integrating with the client's existing Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure.

Project Outcome

  • The client was very happy with the initial specification, design prototypes and the accuracy of sprint time estimates.
  • The app was completed and the client decided to continue the relationship; the app is in beta and work toward the 2.0 release is underway.
  • Project management and communication (daily Slack, regular video meetings, JIRA for issues/sprints) supported timely collaboration.
  • The vendor's full-stack engineer demonstrated strong devops and AWS expertise, aiding deployment and operations.
