Project Summary

SPOT. developed a progressive web app (PWA) operator interface (Angular) for an existing medical robotic rehabilitation system, enabling a cross-platform, tablet-installable operator UI. Moving to a web-based solution allowed part of the product to be migrated to the cloud and opened opportunities for improved data services and machine learning to enhance rehabilitation offerings.

Project Solution

SPOT. conducted joint analysis of user behavior and interactions, designed the graphical interface, and developed a progressive web app using Angular to serve as the operator interface on tablets. Work was divided between FRONTEND (entirely managed by SPOT) and BACKEND (developed by the client), with SPOT focused on frontend integration and UX/UI.

Project Outcome

  • Enabled migration of part of the software to the cloud and created potential for ML-driven improvements to rehabilitation services.
  • Project followed IEC62304 processes, improving lifecycle management and issue resolution.
  • Frontend managed by SPOT improved integration speed and lifecycle management.
