Project Summary

Quantum developed the backend for Bayce’s visual B2B filesharing platform, building user permission management and complex search on AWS using Kotlin, Neo4j, Spring Boot, and CircleCI. They implemented AWS-based storage and CloudFront integration, set up CI/CD pipelines, and provided OAuth2/SSO support. The platform improved the client's technical capabilities and operational efficiency; the team delivered ahead of schedule and maintained high stability since launch.

Key Challenges

  • Create a Google Drive-like enterprise cloud file storage with advanced user permission management
  • Rebuild the entire product from scratch from an MVP with a broken architecture
  • Deliver the finished system within a tight deadline

Project Deliverables

  • Web backend
  • User permission management system
  • Neo4j-based full-text search
  • AWS CloudFront integration
  • CI/CD pipeline setup (CircleCI)
  • OAuth2 login and SSO integration

Project Solution

Quantum rebuilt and developed the web backend for the Bayce B2B filesharing platform. They designed and implemented complex access rights using Neo4j and AWS CloudFront security capabilities, added Neo4j full-text search, integrated global asset delivery via CloudFront, and built the backend using Kotlin and Spring Boot. They also managed CI/CD (CircleCI), integrated AWS for file storage and deployment, and implemented OAuth2 login and SSO via a customized identity service.

Project Outcome

  • The product has not crashed once since its launch
  • Increased technical capabilities and operational efficiency for the client
  • Deliveries were often ahead of schedule and within budget
  • Communication and workflow were effective using Jira, Slack and regular updates
