Project Summary

Out.Cloud provided cloud and DevOps consulting to an AI solutions firm (Sigtech), migrating CI from Jenkins to GitHub Actions, refactoring infrastructure-as-code into a single Terragrunt-managed repository, and building JupyterHub. They also supported a rewrite of the client's monolithic SaaS into microservices (Istio, ArgoCD, Redis, RabbitMQ) and migrated infrastructure from AWS to Azure with no downtime. The engagement reduced costs, met deadlines, and delivered high-quality engineering support via virtual meetings.

Key Challenges

  • Migration from AWS to AZURE
  • Migration from Jenkins to Github Actions
  • Set-up Github Actions runners on Kubernetes
  • Building out Jupyterhub for Hedge Fund client
  • Supporting the re-writing of the SaaS from monolithic to microservice based

Project Deliverables

  • Refactoring of IaC into a single repository using Terragrunt
  • Migration from Jenkins to GitHub Actions with self-hosted runners
  • Setup of GitHub Actions runners on Kubernetes
  • Rewriting the SaaS from a monolith to microservices using Istio, ArgoCD, Redis and RabbitMQ
  • Migration of infrastructure from AWS to Azure with parity and no downtime
  • Built out JupyterHub for the hedge-fund use case

Project Solution

Out.Cloud refactored the client's IaC into a single repository and adopted Terragrunt; migrated CI from Jenkins to GitHub Actions and deployed self-hosted runners (on Kubernetes) for cost-optimized workloads; supported a year-long monolith-to-microservices rewrite using Istio, ArgoCD, Redis and RabbitMQ; migrated the platform from AWS to Azure achieving parity with no downtime; and built out JupyterHub for the hedge-fund use case. The vendor staffed 2-5 teammates (2-3 engineers) and upskilled to deliver Azure parity on a blank canvas.

Project Outcome

  • Meeting deadlines
  • Reduction in costs
  • Consistent on-time delivery and responsiveness to feedback
  • High-quality engineering resources
