Project Summary

Merixstudio built a web interface on top of an existing computer-vision rendering pipeline so clients can log in, manage renders, and preview output. The vendor migrated and enabled the pipeline to run in the cloud using Python/Django and front-end frameworks, improving throughput. As a result, the client can process 3D renderings in one to two hours and benefits from Merixstudio's experienced engineering and design resources.

Key Challenges

  • Need to process large-scale 3D rendering workloads that require substantial compute.
  • Need a web-based interface for clients to log in, manage renders, and preview outputs in the cloud.

Project Deliverables

  • Web application
  • Cloud deployment of rendering pipeline
  • Client login and render management interface
  • Data preview capability

Project Solution

Merixstudio converted the client's computer-vision pipeline to run in the cloud and built a web application on top of it so clients can log in, manage and preview renders, and control outputs. The web app stack included Python and Django on the backend, React and Angular on the frontend, Redis for caching, and deployment on AWS. The engagement delivered an application that interfaces with the existing rendering systems to orchestrate cloud compute and present results to users.

Project Outcome

  • 3D rendering pipeline completes in one to two hours instead of days.
  • Vendor became an extension of the client's team by providing high-caliber engineering and design resources.
