Project Summary

Infinum ran a sprint-based UX redesign for Repsly's retail execution platform, updating the web and iOS experiences to meet the needs of larger, enterprise users. They led workshops, prioritized personas, and translated concepts into wireframes and finished UX while collaborating with the client's development teams. The engagement began in January 2020 and is ongoing; the client is preparing to launch the new UX and will instrument the system to compare user behavior against the old design.

Key Challenges

  • Find a partner experienced with retail execution and field applications to run the UX design process
  • Rethink the product UX to support large enterprise users (hundreds to thousands) rather than small teams
  • Prioritize personas and the design roadmap to meet different user expectations

Project Deliverables

  • Workshops and project kickoff
  • Personas prioritization
  • UX concepts and wireframes
  • UX designs for iOS and Web
  • Design artifacts and collaboration in Figma and Miro
  • Implementation support with development teams

Project Solution

Infinum embedded UX leadership and designers with the client's product team, ran workshops and a project kickoff, and led a redesign of the web and iOS applications. They helped the client prioritize personas and design roadmap items, translated concepts into wireframes and final UX designs, and collaborated directly with development teams to implement and deploy the changes. They used Productive for project management and Figma and Miro for design collaboration.

Project Outcome

  • New UX ready for launch and instrumented to compare user behavior between the new and old systems
  • Improved project management cadence via Productive and weekly synchronization enabling agile reprioritization
  • Strong cultural fit and deep in-house design expertise that enabled a smooth transition and effective collaboration with the client's teams
