Project Summary
Fingent built a product ecosystem — a role-based website and companion iOS and Android apps — to deliver a standard educational curriculum and enable engagement among teachers, parents, students, and administrators. The platform includes four user roles, student progress tracking, integrated games and animated lesson content, and Fingent handled app launches. The engagement lasted about ten months (May 2016–Feb. 2017) with an $85K–$90K investment and the vendor remains on retainer for maintenance.
Key Challenges
- Build a mobile app and a website to deliver curriculum and engage teachers, parents, students, and administrators
- Support multiple user roles (four role types) and enable curriculum access and student progress tracking
- Integrate animated lesson content and games across mobile apps and the website
Project Deliverables
- Website with teacher and administrator roles and curriculum tracking
- Mobile apps (iOS and Android) for students and parents
- Integration between apps and website
- Animated lesson content and games
Project Solution
Fingent developed a multi-user website for teachers and administrators to access curriculum and track student progress, added leadership development and continuing education elements, and implemented animated lesson content. They built companion mobile apps for students (with games) and for parents to monitor student progress, integrated the apps with the website, and launched the apps on iOS and Android. Fingent provided project management through milestone-driven workflows and remains on retainer for maintenance and enhancements.
Project Outcome
- Curriculum scheduled to launch in May; expected user base includes roughly 1,250 churches with about three users per church and 15–20 students per church
- Met four milestones on time and largely stayed within the fixed budget; completed the project after a ten-month engagement
