They re-architected core application logic into layered controllers, services, and repositories, moved business logic out of views and controllers, refactored and optimized legacy SQL queries, and added caching for heavy requests. On the frontend they optimized the asset pipeline (build optimization, minification, lazy loading) and cleaned up legacy SVG usage. They centralized media processing by implementing responsive image generation (WebP/AVIF) and planned asynchronous processing to avoid memory limits. The team also fixed longstanding issues (imports, promotional bundles, catalog views) and standardized delivery workflows with staged releases and validation.
